Hights Enterprise Ltd focuses on adding value to agricultural produce grown in Northern Ghana, particularly in the processing of edible and cosmetic oils. Our business model supports smallholder farmers and rural women groups, helping them increase productivity while maintaining sustainable agricultural practices.

We also utilize the by-products from production to generate biogas, providing rural communities with an affordable alternative to firewood and charcoal. Currently, Hights Enterprise Ltd holds approximately 15% of the market share in the sector.

PGS Organic Certified

Participatory Guarantee System

Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) is a locally focused quality assurance system that certifies agricultural products as organic through the active participation of farmers, consumers, processors, and other stakeholders. It is an alternative to expensive third-party organic certification.

How PGS Works

• Farmers agree to follow organic production standards.
• Members conduct regular peer reviews and farm inspections.
• Decisions are made transparently and collectively.
• Trust, knowledge sharing, and community participation are central to the system.
• Certified farmers can use the PGS label to show consumers that their products meet organic standards.
